Biden said yesterday that Americans who are 20-years-old have never known an America at peace.

I reject the premise.

First of all, we haven't been on a kinetic war footing in Afghanistan for at least 5 years and really for more like 10. The existence of a "war" in Afghanistan is something that did not appear on an average American's consciousness for weeks at a time, sometimes months. No American soldier had died in Afghanistan, prior to the Biden Bungle, for 18 months.

As a nation, we are as at peace right now as any Super Power can ever hope to be.

Furthermore, to contend that what were were doing in Afghanistan constitutes "war", then one must also say that we have been at "war" in Korea for 60 years. Obviously, we have not, and so this... like so many other things Biden says on a daily basis... is pure horseshit.
