I want to highlight an excellent episode from last year that highlights the debate between leaving Blue States for Red States versus staying in Blue States and fighting to make things better. For the record, Jack and his guest come down on the side of walking away.

But I want to bring up one point that I think Jack and Glen missed about the real power of walking away from Blue States. When you leave a Blue State for a Red State, you strategically weaken the Blue State you're leaving. We saw how it works over the last year as people fled the COVID lockdowns in the Blue States. California and New York lost so many residents that it actually cost them a Congressional Seat. That's real power stripped from two of the worst offenders. Now yeah, it's only one seat each, but as the old joke about the National Debt goes... a billion here and a billion there, sooner or later, you're talking about real money.

FOR THE RECORD: We are building a house in OK to go with the property we own in Louisiana, so we have already made the long term strategic decision to walk away from CA.
