Last summer as the lockdowns were headed towards their first six month milestone, I was on a company-wide zoom. One of my colleagues, who is deeply Progressive, bragged that she had not been outside her condo since the lockdown began. Another colleague asked her how she was getting the things she needed and she noted that she was using Amazon, Postmates, and other delivery services. I was texting with another friend, who also works at the company and is on the Center-Left (which I define as still capable of poking fun at progressive lunatics), and joked that it was a strange flex to brag about staying safe inside your home by paying people less well-off than you are to bring you stuff. But it's a real life example of a Truism I saw on line somewhere, perhaps Instapundit...

"There was no lockdown... there was only rich people paying poor people to bring them stuff."

And now we have yet another study proving this was true.
