Yang seems like a decent dude and while I don't agree with many of his policy prescriptions, he comes off as a reasonable man with whom you could have a productive debate. As a result, I just don't see where he fits in the current polictical landscape. He seems to me like a man without a party. It's a shame how much crap he takes from the radical Left wing of the Democrat Party and I can't imagine it's worth the personal cost in the long term. I certainly would not have advised him to seek election in a Big Blue City like NYC. He'd probably be better off taking the Pete Buttigeig approach and runnning for mayor in a Liberal but far more reasonable city somewhere out in flyover country, but hey... what the hell do I know?
