We need to stop acting like dogs distracted by a squirrell.

Government doesn't actually do very much day-to-day... mostly what they do is say or claim crazy shit which we all dutifully freak out over, and the ensuing (mostly pointless) debate dominates the news for a few days, and no one notices how ineffective and inefficient the Government actually is.

Such is the case with Cuomo's "new" gun law stripping Gun Companies of protection from law suits when people use their product unlawfully. This has no chance of surviving a legal challenge and we all know it. But passing a law and using it in the real world is not the goal here. The real issue is that Andrew Cuomo desperately needs something to rally his base and distract from the fact that his COVID policies killed thousands who did not need to die and that he's been credibly accused of sexual assault by a half dozen women.

That's all this is. Let the machine do its work. This law will amount to nothing.
