I admit that I don't know much about art... however...

I actually do have a favorite New Orleans artist. He has a gallery in the French Quarter. He's quite well-known locally and I have several pieces hanging on my walls at home. That said, for $500K I could literally walk into his gallery and buy every single piece on display at one sitting.

$500K is a LOT for a single piece of art. That kind of number puts you in the top tier of artists worldwide, in terms of how much a single piece can fetch on the market.

And yet Hunter Biden has no training as an artist, no history of making and selling art, no track record for making art that goes up in value over time, and as yet no generally recognized skill or talent for making art.

As Ace tweeted today... if you're paying $500K for a piece of art made by the non-artist son of the President, you're not buying art, you're buying something else.

Something else indeed....
