It occurs to me that if our 20 years of fighting in Afghnistan created the kind of "stability" that can be completely overrun by a "defeated" enemy in three weeks, then you have to consider the entire effort a failure. And I say that with a heavy heart, as someone who has consistently supported the effort from beginning to end and was not particularly supportive of a pullout, even when Trump was the one pushing for it.

I have family in Claremore, OK and we visit a few times a year. The last time we were there we went to a park near Claremore Lake. In the park is a memorial for a young kid, a soldier who died in Afghanistan... he was essentially assassinated... a victim of a Green on Blue incident. You have to wonder how his family feels watching the enitre effort unravel so spectacularly. It must be incredibly hard to watch. What did their son's sacrifice mean? Did the Nation live up to what he sacrificed for it? I think you have to say the answer is no.

Awful.
